Chicago's Daley Plaza has been presenting ceremonial Christmas tree lightings for almost a century. While you're there, be sure to visit Santa — the big guy sets up a workshop at the base of the tree — and then amble north on Michigan Avenue to marvel at the lights lining the Magnificent Mile.
